Lighthouse Tasman Ale

BREWERY:
Lighthouse Brewing Company

LOCATION:
Victoria, British Columbia

STYLE:
Amber Ale

COLOR:
Copper

ALCOHOL:
5%

When you first open the bottle, the smell hits you.  At first it smells like an IPA but after a couple more sniffs in the glass (pour the beer into a glass), it starts to smell like a typical Amber Ale.  But don't get me wrong, it tastes great!  It has medium hop flavor and it dissipates quickly leaving a slight but still noticeable aftertaste.  This beer is basically Lighthouse's version of an Amber Ale.  Like a lot of Amber Ales, this beer will go great with a medium rare steak.  Or for a snack pairing, try some unsalted peanuts.
