Red Ryder Ale

Tenaya Creek Brewery

Las Vegas, Nevada

Rye Beer

COLOR:

ALCOHOL:
6.2% - 6.7% (depends on who you talk to)

This beer is very unique.  I can't decide whether to drink it or soak my chicken wings in it.  But I drank it.  The smell hard to detect but it's there.  In fact, it actually has a light citrus aroma, which is very nice to smell coming from this really dark beer.  And now for the taste... well, it's not for everybody.  But it is for me.  The taste starts out smokey, then turns into a smooth caramel flavor.  The taste, however, doesn't last long because it turns into one of those lingering smokey, bitter aftertaste that some people like but most do not.  I, for one, do like the finish.  That's all I really have to say about this beer.  Sorry I couldn't say much more.

Oh, by the way, I LOVE the label.  The left foot is really pointy.
