This beer is no longer in production.  But I thought I'd give it a try anyway.  Tree Brewing Company brews really good quality IPA's.  In fact, they even have an IPA Mingler Pack.  I've never had an IPA like this one.  Smell it.  It smells just like an espresso drink.  And so it should, hence the name.  The taste is very unique.  It tastes just like your regular morning coffee with a shot of espresso.  The name does speak truth about this beer.  Where are the hops?  The reason why I ask is because there's no hop flavour in this beer what so ever.  I think the reason may lie in the heavy malt taste.  It does a fantastic job hiding the hop flavour.  It's a full bodied beer with a smooth finish.  The after taste is heavy on the bitterness side and has that roasted coffee taste that you'd get when drinking a Tall Pike from your local Starbucks.  In my personal opinion, Tree Brewing did a pretty good take on an alcoholic espresso drink.  No somebody pass me my breakfast sandwich!!
