Coast Trail Pale Ale

Canuck Empire Brewing Company

LOCATION:
Aldergrove, British Columbia

STYLE:
Pale Ale

COLOR:
Copper

ALCOHOL:
5.5%

I do have to say that I've never heard of this brewery.  Are they going to compete with Dead Frog Brewery? It must be really new considering they only have one beer out right now.  However, their planned lineup of brews is making me very exited because if their Pale Ale is any foreshadowing, then this brewery is going to make a name for itself pretty quick.

But before I get to that, here is what's up and coming from this brewery:
*Backcountry IPA - Arriving this spring. (65 IBUs btw)
*Stargazer Chamomile Wheat - Summer of this year
*Pumpkin Patch Ale - Arriving this fall

The aroma is not subtle at all, in fact, you don't even have to dig deep to get the citrus smell. When I smelled it, I knew that this was going to be a nice Pale Ale.  The taste is almost like your typical Pale Ale except that this full body Pale Ale has a slight sweetness to it.  It has a really good bite which is also really refreshing. The finish is very smooth and the aftertaste is just above the medium mark.  One thing that I do know about this brewery is that the brewmaster, Brandon Wiggins, is a long time Homebrewer.  I think with this introduction to his brewing knowledge, I cannot wait to try his other brews.  Great job guys, I look forward to visiting your brewery very soon.
